UPDATE: Shehzada Director, Producer Come To Kartik Aaryan's Defence, Rubbish Claim Of Unprofessionalism
Once again, allegations of "unprofessionalism" have been leveled upon actor Kartik Aaryan, who was recently kicked out of Karan Johar's Dostana 2 "due to professional circumstances".
This time, the producer of Hindi version of South Indian film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo starring Pushpa fame Allu Arjun, has accused him for unprofessional behavior due to which he lost Rs 20 crores.
For the unversed, Kartik Aaryan stars in the Hindi remake of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.
Manish Shah told India Today, "The makers of Shehzda were not keen to release the Hindi version in cinemas. Also, Kartik Aaryan said if the movie was released in theatres, he would walk out of the film, which would have caused Shehzada producers a loss of Rs 40 crores. It was extremely unprofessional of him.
"I have known Shehzada producers for 10 years. I cannot have people who are close to me losing Rs 40 crores, so I dropped it. By doing this, I ended up losing Rs 20 crores. I spent Rs 2 crores only on dubbing. I wanted this film to be bigger than Pushpa: The Rise. If I do not release the film I lose money, so now I am releasing it on my channel. I would not have done anything for Kartik Aaryan, I only did this because of Allu Arvind. Why would I do this for a Bollywood hero? I don¡¯t know him," he said.

He told told RJ Siddharth Kannan, "I know that as long as you concentrate on your work, nothing else matters. But my family gets affected, and that¡¯s the only thing I get worried about. Other than that, it doesn¡¯t matter. I know that my work will always speak volumes. If I fall short on that front, I want to improve myself."
He had also revealed that he is not a part of any Bollywood camp and has only made his way to the top because of his sheer talent.
"I am not a part of any Bollywood camps. I have reached here because of my talent. And I will do the same in the future. I don't want to comment on Karan Johar's film Dostana," he said at Agenda AajTak 2021.
