Bollywood's versatile singer KK's death on May 31 shocked the entire entertainment industry. The singer died hours after performing at a concert held at the Nazrul Mancha in South Kolkata. Thousands of people mourned KK's untimely demise after he suffered a massive heart attack.
Now fans of KK in Kolkatta have flocked to Nandan theatre of the city to pay a special tribute to the singer, who has left a legacy as an artiste in the entertainment industry.
200 Musicians Perform KK's Hit Solo Pal
According to reports, in memory of the late singer, an event was held which included 100 guitarists and 100 singers crooning to KK's hit single Pal, the song that has ruled the hearts of 90's born kids.
Event organisers Santanu Naskar, Debjit Pal, Rima Chakrabarty and Sumit Majhi, members of B-Garden Buskers told Hindstan Times, ¡°As a group of singers, we had initially performed at the Botanical Gardens in Kolkata where we got a good response. Since then a lot of people wanted to join us and pay a tribute to KK. While we were planning for a 100-singers, 100-guitarists mass tribute, unexpectedly more than 300 people turned out at Nandan.¡±
Moreover, the organisers said that the event took place not just to celebrate KK and his evergreen songs but to repair the bond between artists and Kolkata. "KK¡¯s death is not only something unacceptable for the Kolkata fans, but also shameful. He came all the way from Mumbai to perform and never returned home to his family as same. Maybe we failed due to our carelessness, so the initiative is to repent the loss of KK. While we cannot undo it, we want to restore faith in music,¡± the group added, as per reports.

When Bengali singer Rupankar Bagchi Got Trolled For Questioning KK's Talent
Recently, a video of Bengali singer Rupankar Bagchi in which he passed some negative remarks on KK had gone viral on social media. In the video, Rupankar Bagchi is seen questioning the late KK's singing talent and saying that singers in Kolkata can sing better than him that had sparked an outrage on social media. Later, Rupankar Bagchi deleted the post and apologised for his comments on KK, also known by his birth name Krishnakumar Kunnath.
From Sweating To Chest Pain, KK's Cause Of Death
KK, who in his last post mentioned that his gig was a 'pulsating' one died after complaining from chest pain and uneasiness after the show at Nazrul Mancha auditorium. Videos of the concert shows KK profusely sweating while he wipes off his sweat from his face. It has also been claimed by some on social media that the place was too crowded and the AC in the auditorium was not working.
As he headed back to his hotel room after the performance, his health started to deteriorate and he was rushed to the hospital. But, unfortunately, KK died on the way and doctors declared him brought dead.
Post morterm reports have also revealed that the singer was having major heart blockages that lead to his untimely and sudden death.
The singer, known for striking a chord with every age group with his soulful music yet lives amongst his fans though his evergreen songs.
