Vijay Deverakonda Cried After Watching 'Liger', Is Reportedly Disappointed With Final Product
Vijay Deverakonda is also upset about the response that Liger has received. So much so, that he cried after watching the final product in a theatre recently. It is said that he is not happy with the final product himself. Additionally, he was dampened seeing the audience's lukewarm response, states a report on Track Tollywood.
Karan Johar had been wanting to work with Vijay Deverakonda for a long time. Finally, Deverakonda agreed to star in a pan-India film after rejecting the offer of a Bollywood movie. It was supposed to be his big pan-India release - a film his fans had been eagerly waiting for. The Arjun Reddy star was going to strike a chord with the Hindi-speaking audience as well this time. However, what happened next was unpredictable.

But Bollywood is finished as per Experts.
Most South Indian movies have been doing well, especially in comparison to Hindi movies. Why didn't Liger work? Vijay Deverakonda had said that his film will do more than Rs 200 crores. At present, 90 percent shows of Liger have been cancelled even down the South. The movie is not expected to mint more than Rs 50 crores. It's disappointing for everyone who worked on the project.

In four days, the movie has so far minted Rs 24.25 crores.
Vijay Deverakonda was super energetic about the film's release. Before Liger had hit the theatres, Deverakonda was asked about people calling for a boycott of his movie. To this, he said, "With Liger we expected a bit of drama... but we'll fight. We've put our heart into making this film. And I believe that I am correct. I feel that there is no room for fear, when I had nothing, I didn't fear, and now after having achieved something, I don't think there needs to be any fear even now."

He concluded by saying, "Maa ka aashirwaad hai, Logon ka pyaar hai, Bhagwaan ka haath hai, andar aag hai, Kaun rokenge dekh lenge!"
Liger producer Charmee Kaur also spoke on the box office failure of the movie recently.
In an interview with Free Press Journal, she said that OTT is one of the reasons why the footfall to theatres have decreased. "Definitely, people have access to better content in one click just by sitting at home. The whole family can watch the biggest budget films on television, and until you don't really excite them, they aren't coming to the theatres."
