Satish Kaushik
"Mujhe Bacha Lo, Mai Marna Nahi Chahta", these were his last words before passing away due to cardiac arrest. The veteran actor who essayed memorable characters like Calendar in Mr India, Pappu Pager in Deewana Mastana and Mama in Mr and Mrs Khiladi among others, Satish Kaushik passed away on March 9, a day after celebrating Holi at Javed Akhtar's home.
Nitesh Pandey
One of the popular faces on television, Nitesh who also featured in movies like Om Shanti Om and Khosla Ka Ghosla passed away on May 23 after suffering a cardiac arrest. Last seen in Anupamaa was in Igatpuri near Nashik where he had arrived for a shoot. He was 51.
Javed Khan Amrohi
Best known for movies like Lagaan,
Andaz Apna Apna, Chak De India and Once Upon A Time In Mumbai, Javed Khan Amrohi died of lung failure at the age of 73 on February 14. He is survived by a son and a daughter.
Junior Mehmood
Veteran actor Naeem Sayyed popularly known as Junior Mehmood who was a popular child actor passed away at the age of 67 on December 8. Known for movies like Kati Patang and Aan Milo Sajna was suffering from stage four cancer.
Dinesh Phadnis
Dinesh Phadnis, best known for playing the role of Fredericks in CID, passed away at the age of 57 on December 5 reportedly due to liver damage.
Matthew Perry
Our beloved friend Matthew Perry who made us laugh for decades by playing our favourite character Chandler Bing on the NBC television sitcom Friends passed away at the age of 54 on October 28. His body was reportedly found in a hot bathing tub. It is said that he died of accidental overdose of ketamine. This was one of the most hard hitting celebrity deaths of 2023.
Rio Kapadia
Known for his role in Bollywood movies like Chak De! India, Happy New Year, Dil Chahta Hai, and Mumbai Meri Jaan among others, veteran actor Rio Kapadia died on September 14 after a long battle with cancer.
Andre Braugher
Andre Braugher who played the role of Detective Frank Pembleton in cop drama series Homicide: Life on the Street and Captain Raymond Holt in cop comedy series Brooklyn Nine-Nine has left for his heavenly abode on December 11 after a brief illness.
Gufi Paintal
Actor Gufi Paintal, best known for playing Shakuni Mama in BR Chopra's Mahabharat, passed away at 79.
He had been keeping unweel for quite some time and was hospitalised due to age-related problems. He was in critical condition and passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 5.
