Upon the on-field umpire's signal of a wide ball, Gujarat Titans decided to challenge the decision through a review. Initially, the third umpire overturned the on-field umpire's call of 'not wide.' However, after further review, the third umpire instructed the on-field umpire to maintain the 'wide' decision. This sequence of events left Gill visibly displeased, leading to heated exchanges with the match officials.

It is probable that the umpires overseeing the match will report the incident to the match referee, who might subsequently call upon the Gujarat (GT) captain for a discussion regarding potential sanctions.
