David Rush recently claimed his 177th Guinness World Record by fist-bumping 397 times in 30 seconds. Rush, a native of Idaho in the US, is just four Guinness World Records away from equaling the record for the most concurrently held Guinness World records.

World record fist-bumping
Rush recently claimed his 177th Guinness World Record by fist-bumping 397 times in 30 seconds. Rush, who originally held the record with his neighbor Joey Hannon by doing 273 fist bumps, improved his own performance, this time with YouTuber Doctor Mike.

Broke 52 records in 2021
Rush is so obsessed with breaking records that Guinness World Records described him as a 'serial record breaker.' In 2021 alone, he broke 52 records in 52 weeks, or one record a week for an entire year.
Who is David Rush
After earning his electrical engineering degree from MIT, Rush spent time as an ASIC Design Engineer at Marvell Semiconductor. Rush, who has an MBA from Boise State University, is also involved in promoting STEM education through motivational speaking to students, corporations, and other groups. He started setting Guinness World Records to promote STEM education in 2015.

Some of his other records include being the world¡¯s fastest juggler and the world¡¯s slowest juggler. He also holds the record for most bowling balls juggled, most consecutive ax juggling catches, and longest duration balancing a bicycle on the chin.
Most Guinness World Records ever
He, however, is not the person with the most number of Guinness World Records ever. That record is held by Ashrita Furman, who has set 600 Guinness World Records.
