Meet Sahil Chauhan from Estonia who just scored the fastest T20I century in 27 balls
The 32-year-old reached triple figures in just 27 deliveries against Cyprus. The previous fastest century in T20Is was scored by Namibia¡¯s Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton against Nepal.
Have you ever heard about a cricketer called Sahil Chauhan or did you know that Estonia had a cricket team? If your answer is 'NO,' you are not alone. But Chauhan has etched his name in cricket history by scoring the fastest-ever century in a T20 international. The 32-year-old, who was playing in only his fourth T20I, reached triple figures in just 27 deliveries against Cyprus on Monday.
Sahil Chauhan betters Chris Gayle¡¯s record
The previous fastest century in T20Is was scored by Namibia¡¯s Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton against Nepal in 33 balls.
Chauhan's 27-ball 100 is also faster than Chris Gayle¡¯s record for the quickest hundred in men¡¯s T20s, which he scored in 30 balls in an Indian Premier League match against the Pune Warriors in 2013.

Most sixes in an innings
Chauhan's knock on Monday included a barrage of fours and sixes. Chauhan¡¯s 18 sixes are also a new men¡¯s T20I record for a single innings in the format, going past Afghanistan¡¯s Hazratullah Zazai and New Zealand¡¯s Finn Allen, who previously had the record with 16 maximums each.
His unbeaten 144 off just 41 balls also helped Estonia beat Cyprus.

What makes Chauhan¡¯s record even more impressive is the fact that he was dismissed for a golden duck in the previous match.
