The modded version of the popular messaging app allows an array of features such as the ability to read receipts of specific contacts, and allows the ability to have larger group names. Some modded versions come with the option of extending the WhatsApp message broadcast limit from 250 users all the way to a whopping 600 users.

The app, due to its unofficial nature, isn't available on the Google Play Store or any of the trustworthy Android app stores online. Such apps are often found on APK download sites however, it is important to be aware that these apps might not be safe all the time, most of the APK files that you¡¯d sideload could have malware that could infect your smartphone and put your device at an even higher risk.

It surely is. Not only is the app not coming from a trusted source, but it also has been modded to enable additional features. Additionally, WhatsApp doesn't permit use of such mods and users accounts could also result in a ban if their device was found to use third-party mods.
