The longest reigning Monarch of the British Royal, Queen Elizabeth II, left for her heavenly abode. At 96, she became the longest-living monarch from Britain, surpassing Queen Victoria, who died at age 81, leaving a legacy of 70 + years behind.
The queen will be remembered for many many great things she implemented and fashioned during her reign. The world is mourning the loss of a great leader, who not only stuck to her duties but also kept her promises famously made during the coronation ceremony.

The queen of media
Queen Elizabeth II is widely known as the media queen for her associations with the worldwide press. For her coronation, Queen Elizabeth II was crowned at Westminster Abbey in central London on June 2, 1953. According to reports, Her coronation was the first televised ceremony and the first time cameras were allowed into the sacred Westminster Abbey. More than 27 million people watched the ceremony in Great Britain on TV and 11 million listened on the radio.
Public Service
Even before her crowning, as heiress Princess Elizabeth made a broadcast from Cape Town on her 21st birthday in which she dedicated her life to the service of the Commonwealth. Later on her Silver Jubilee as a queen, the queen toured Britain and the Commonwealth and reiterated her vows of service.

State visits to India
The queen has been to three state visits to India. In one of her addresses she said, ¡°The warmth and hospitality of the Indian people, and the richness and diversity of India itself have been an inspiration to all of us,¡± Hindustan Times reported. She visited the Taj Mahal, paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and met with the government officials of the time.

Ireland state visit
The queen was also the first monarch to visit the Republic of Ireland since it won independence in 1922. The trip required security of the highest order. The queen met the common people of the country. With some highly symbolic gestures, which also included speaking in Irish, she melted away postcolonial angst and made way into people¡¯s hearts.
Work during the pandemic
The queen was forced into isolation when Covid-19 began, much like the rest of the world, she continued her engagements online. Royal receptions were replaced by virtual appearances with everyone from ambassadors to members of the public. As soon as the curbs eased, the queen was back to her public role. She hosted G7 leaders in Cornwall in June 2021 and had US President Joe Biden for tea at Windsor.
