Recently, a case that came up in front of legal authorities in Ghatiya Tehsil, Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, left people rather shocked. While authorities go through a daily grind of trying some of the most bizarre cases, once in a while there are stories that just leave them gasping.
Ujjain Man Agrees To Live With Two Wives For 15 Days Each
In this case, a man married his second wife while his first was still alive and well. However, even after getting married a second time, the man did not want to let his first wife go.
He wished to still have a connection with her, and the first wife also felt the same. She wanted him to be her husband even after he had gone ahead and tied the knot with another woman. The case was under the jurisdiction of the Paramarsh Kendra. The authorities confirmed with a final nod that the couple wanted to truly still be together.
When they answered in the affirmative, the two parties came to the decision that there would be a compromise and the husband would spend 15 days each with both wives every month.
The anonymous man has a child with his first wife, and according to the decision, he would also bear the expenses of bringing up the child. Paramarsh Kendra gave the go-ahead for this arrangement, as both parties agreed to it.
When Police Could Not Solve The Matter, The Case Landed In The Family Counselling Centre
As per reports, the Ujjain man had gotten married to his first wife 15 years ago. She hails from Bamora village. After years of a tumultuous relationship, the couple decided to get married; however, before all legal formalities were settled, the man got remarried. Seeing her husband with another woman, the wife realised that she did not want to leave him behind.
Things escalated and reached the authorities when the second wife told the man that she was unhappy about his first wife still hanging around their home. When things refused to get settled personally, the new wife filed a complaint with the police, and the case eventually reached Paramarsh Kendra.
