Madhya Pradesh: Tired Of Potholes, Residents Have A Goa-style Party Right In The Middle Of A Crater
In a video going viral, residents of Anuppur are seen sitting on chairs in a big crater on the road, dipping their legs in muddy water accumulated after the rain to ¡°chill¡±
Rains are a great way to relieve the heat. However, it is absolutely dreadful to drive in these rains considering the dangerous potholes filled with water. No matter, how many times residents complain about these potholes, we have to agree that the authorities take forever to get them repaired.
Residents of Madhya Pradesh found a creative way to deal with the potholes in their area. They had a Goa-style party in the pothole. A video of the said 'party' has gone viral.
In the said video, residents of Anuppur are seen sitting on chairs in a big crater on the road, dipping their legs in the muddy water that has accumulated after the rain just to relax. Setting the mood with party music, residents are seen having a blast and enjoying drinks and snacks. The video also shows plants being installed in smaller potholes around the crater as decorations.
Apparently, due to the bad road which is connecting Anuppur to Bijuri Manendragarh, residents faced a lot of difficulties while commuting. After failing to garner attention from the authorities to fix the road, locals found a unique way of protesting.

This is not the first time residents have come together to find a creative way to show authorities their bad potholes. Recently, residents gathered around a pothole filled with stale water while a priest chants holy mantras to invoke gods. The pothole in the visual is also decorated with a flower garland and people around it can be seen joining hands as if they are praying. The two priests are throwing holy water into the fire while chanting prayers.
The video was posted by Twitter user Rakesh Prakash. He captioned it - "POTHOLE puja in Bengaluru! Frustrated by potholes & craters, citizens invoke gods. Puja on Campbell Road by Bharathinagar Residents Forum. Why can¡¯t the tech-city fix its roads?"

A few months ago, fed up with a dangerous pothole located in the middle of a street, a Florida man decided to make a statement about road conditions by filling the cement hole with a banana tree. This man who owns a business on the same street where the pothole was located mentioned that his security cameras have watched the hole repeatedly cause damage to cars.
Another innovative idea made authorities actually fix the pothole. An Indonesian man bathed and pretended to do fishing in the pothole that authorities were neglecting for far too long. The man actually used to sit inside the pothole fully clothed and used a mug to take a bath inside it. He even sat cross-legged on a plastic chair with an umbrella in his hand and fished in the middle of the flooded pothole.
