On March 12, GOLD MEDALIST told Korean media outlet SPOTV News, "There is no change to the official position we previously relayed." The agency had previously refused the claims made by Kim Sae Ron's aunt, stating that the allegations are "clearly false." It also announced plans to take strong legal action against the malicious claims and spread of misinformation.

The text message, reportedly sent in 2024, shows Kim Sae Ron asking Kim Soo Hyun for time to resolve a 700 million won settlement, saying she can't pay it all at once but will repay it gradually with a percentage from each project.
The text message, originally shared in Korean, has been translated by K-media outlets in English and reads: ¡°I received a certified letter stating that they are suing. They said they would give me plenty of time, so I'm preparing hard for my comeback. I'll pay back little by little, say a certain percentage for each project. I'm not saying I won't pay, but if you ask me for 700 million won right now, I really can't. It's not that I won't; I just can't. Do I really have to go to court? Please save me. I'm begging you, give me time."

What are the claims made by Kim Sae Ron's aunt?
In a telephonic conversation with Gorasera Research Institute, Kim Sae Ron's aunt claimed that Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron began dating in 2015, when she was 15 and the actor was 27. Their six-year relationship reportedly ended in 2022 following Kim Sae Ron's drunk driving incident. The late actress was a part of Kim Soo Hyun's management company from 2019 to 2022.
Her aunt further claimed that the Bloodhounds actress played a key role in the company's establishment by providing free labor, helping the agency train new and budding artists.
She further alleged that during Sae Ron's drunk driving incident, GOLD MEDALIST volunteered to cover 700 million KRW (about USD 483,000) in damages, which the actress was not required to repay.
However, when Kim Sae Ron's contract with the agency ended, she was slapped with a lawsuit, asking her to repay the 700 million KRW in 2024. She attempted to contact Kim Soo Hyun, but he ignored her calls.
To get his attention, she posted a photo of them together on Instagram, which coincided with the airing schedule of Kim Soo Hyun's tvN drama Queen of Tears. However, many had dubbed it a publicity stunt, alleging she wants to milk his popularity.
