After drawing flak on Monday, the BCCI secretary, Devajit Saika, slammed Congress spokesperson Shama Mohamed for questioning Rohit Sharma's captaincy credentials and fitness levels.

Meanwhile, after all this, Mohamed defended the statements she made in a 'generic manner'. She said that she did not mean to body-shame Rohit Sharma but was commenting on his fitness.

According to her, she believes that a sportsperson should be fit, and Rohit Sharma is a bit overweight; hence she tweeted about the same. "I have been attacked for no reason," she told news agency ANI.

The Congress sportsperson's remarks about Rohit Sharma's fitness came after he was dismissed after 15 runs off 17 balls during the India-New Zealand match for the ICC Champions Trophy on Sunday.
