According to Sports Illustrated, Yassine Chueko is a former US soldier who served as a Navy SEAL in Iraq and Afghanistan. Chueko was reportedly hired to protect Messi after a personal suggestion from Inter Miami club president David Beckham.
Chueko's job is running around the outside of the pitch and effectively man-marking Messi throughout games. This is so that he may intercept any pitch invaders who try to approach the Miami captain.
