#RIPTwitter trends amid reports of mass resignations
It's not yet clear how many employees have decided to go their separate ways, but by all available accounts, there were a lot of them.
Many people who know Twitter well think the departure of entire important teams means it¡¯s only a matter of time until things break down. According to a report, some "critical" employees were pulled into meetings with Elon Musk and his advisors, who tried to persuade them to stay as the time ticked down.
So, if this is the end of Twitter, the only thing left to do is...tweet about it. And that's what users are doing. #RIPTwitter is the number one trend, at the time of writing this.

Meanwhile, an activist is making his feelings about the Musk era of Twitter known and taking them directly to Twitter headquarters.

Mass resignations at Twitter
The mass resignation at Twitter comes following an ultimatum from the new owner Elon Musk that staffers sign up for "long hours at high intensity" or leave.
Musk unleashed chaos at Twitter just a few weeks after taking the helm of the company. Thousands of company employees were shown exit doors, including CEO Parag Agrawal.
Those who have been laid off have been asked to commit to "hardcore" work or resign with severance pay.
Following this, several furious employees on Twitter announced that they were resigning after Musk's pledge deadline.
While it¡¯s not clear how many of Twitter¡¯s already-decimated staff took Musk up on his offer, the newest round of departures means the platform is continuing to lose workers just as it is gearing up for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
