Not gonna lie, Bengaluru has given the internet plenty of hilarious moments to laugh at. Remember the viral photo of the man working on his laptop in a cinema hall while a movie was running? Or the time a woman was seen attending a team meeting on her laptop while shoe shopping. There were even some funny street signs along the way that made us giggle. But this recent incident stands out in stark contrast to all the light-hearted moments we've come to love. A woman recently took to X to share that an auto driver spat on her while she was walking down a street. Here's what happened.
What did the woman claim happened as she was walking down a street?

X user Parishi recently took to the microblogging site to share how an auto driver, someone she had had absolutely no interaction with, chose to spit on her as she was walking on a road.
"While walking around Indiranagar, an auto driver spat on me, and it happened to be the day I wore a white shirt," she wrote on X while sharing two photos. One photo showed red paan stains on her hand, while the other showed long streaks of the same stain running down her white shirt. This totally unexpected and unprovoked reaction from someone who saw a woman in white clothing going about her day is absolutely shocking, to say the least, and it makes you think hard about what can come next.

The post shared on June 3, raked in 513.4K views, almost 3K likes and comments from shocked internet users who had a whole lot to say. "Unbelievable," one user wrote, summing up everyone's reactions in a single word. "That's disgusting. Do you want to file a case against the auto driver? Let me know via DM," offered a second. Even Bengaluru City Police left a tweet asking her to share "specific area details and her contact number via DM."
It's unclear at the moment whether Parishi has filed an official complaint yet.
