Canada: Driver Gets His Truck Stuck Vertically Beneath Overpass, Video Goes Viral?
A dump-truck driver in Canada found a way to somehow get their dump box trapped vertically between the highway and an overpass.
Let's face it: Our streets and highways are full of bad drivers, but there are some that are beyond help. This driver may have a strong argument to cement their legacy as the worst driver ever.
Driver gets truck stuck vertically under overpass
A dump-truck driver in Canada found a way to somehow get their dump box trapped vertically between the highway and an overpass. The incident took place on Highway 401 in Mississauga on Wednesday morning.
The Ontario Provincial Police said a dump truck dumped a load and proceeded to travel underneath the overpass while its container was in an upright position. It resulted in the refuse vessel getting jammed between Highway 401 and a pedestrian overpass.
"The box was lifted and it¡¯s wedged underneath the overpass and it¡¯s empty. And it¡¯s wedged itself right down into the concrete here in the left lane," OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt told a local outlet.
The dump truck was in the area for construction on the nearby collector lane.

However, it was unclear why the dump truck had its box up when it attempted to drive under the overpass.
Fortunately, the driver didn¡¯t sustain any injuries in the fiasco. However, the bridge did sustain some damage.
Emergency crews were called to get the truck out
Emergency crews managed to extract the dump box using a crane, after which all eastbound express lanes of Highway 401 were reopened.
The driver will reportedly be charged for the mishap.
Needless to say, social media users took the opportunity to crack some puns at the driver's expense.
A user commented: "There's a driver out there who will be making a career change."
"When it comes to dump truck driver's stupidity, we don¡¯t have to look too far," a user wrote.
"My car has so many sensors that it knows if I¡¯ve farted, and these truck drivers don¡¯t know if their dumper is up!?" a third user said.
