Driver who crashed into two cars turns out to be a dog
In a Facebook post, Kilgore Police Department said that a driver "ran into two cars" in a Walmart parking lot. They said that the dog somehow set his owner's vehicle in motion while left to wait in the car.
According to the police, an eyewitness "saw the suspect barrelling down on him but couldn't get out of the way." The witness was left shocked to discover that there was a dog behind the wheel.
He attempted to get out of the way as the truck barreled toward him but was unable to avoid an accident.
"KPD apprehended a reckless driver today after he ran into two cars in the parking lot Walmart. Thankfully no one was injured in this crash. One of the victims saw the suspect barelling down on him but couldn't get out of the way. He was shocked to see the driver was a dog! Yep, the pooch was actually behind the wheel when the crash occurred," Kilgore Police Department said in the post.
A police investigation revealed that the dog was sitting in an unoccupied vehicle while its owners were shopping. The dog got a little adventurous and its bounces set the truck in motion, the police said.
Investigation revealed dog got a 'little antsy and bounced around setting this truck in motion'
"The investigation revealed the dog was sitting in the unoccupied vehicle waiting on his humans while they shopped. He apparently got little antsy and bounced around the cab setting this truck in motion. The steering column had some prior damage and this pooch must have placed the vehicle in drive. He was also wearing a lease and it's believed he got that caught on the emergency brake and released it. It doesn't sound feasible but an eyewitness saw the pooch behind the wheel just before the crash. He certainly has a guilty look on his face,' the police added.
Police said that the "pooch must have placed the vehicle in drive" and determined that its leash got caught on the emergency brake, consequently releasing it.
Nobody was injured in the incident.
Dogs can sometimes get a bit cheeky. Earlier, a woman had to spend three days in a hospital after her dog pooped on her face while she was sleeping.
The woman was hospitalised after her dog pooped on her face in her sleep. Amanda Gommo, 51, from Bristol, UK, was taking a lost-in-the-dreams, mouth-wide-open afternoon nap when her chihuahua Belle decided to join her. A little too much fact. He came, sat near her face and shat a load of diarrhoea that went right inside of her mouth.
