Hyderabad Delivery Agent Goes The Extra Mile For Customer, Travels 12 km More Due To Incorrect Address
Journalist Tamal Saha ordered lunch from Swiggy in Hyderabad. Saha entered the incorrect location into the program. As a result, the delivery guy was unable to reach him.
People on the internet throughout the country are praising a delivery agent who went the extra mile, physically and metaphorically, to deliver a late-night order.
Who shared the story of the Hyderabad delivery agent?
On Sunday, journalist Tamal Saha said that he bought lunch from Swiggy in Hyderabad after a long day. However, because he is unfamiliar with the city, Saha entered the incorrect location in the app.
What did the delivery guy do?
As a result, the delivery guy was unable to reach him; nevertheless, rather than cancelling the delivery, the agent named Mohammad Azam communicated with Saha and ensured that he received his lunch despite having to drive more than 12 kilometres further. The order was later delivered around 3 am by Azam.
Why did the delivery agent get praised?
In a post on X, Saha praised Azam's professionalism and kindness, writing, "A big shout out for the agent. His name is Mohammad Azam. He restored my faith in humanity, that there are still nice people in the world. He is camera shy, yet he has captivated my heart. It will always be my favorite recollection from my #Telengana diary. Azam grinned and said 'goodnight' as he left. When I asked him when he would call it a night, he said, 'abhi ghar jaunga fir khaunga'."
"I offered to share our lunch, but he declined, saying, 'aap buss mujhe dua-o mein yaad rakhna.' I pray for him and hope he remains the same forever."
How did people on the internet react?
This post has received over a lakh views and hundreds of likes. "Well these small small gestures by some strangers, make us hold on to the Hope, that Humanity might be bruised, but it's still alive in all of us," an X user said on the post.
"May the almighty God bestow the best blessing on this dedicated person," another person said. One member of the community pleaded with the community not to press a delivery partner for a faster delivery. When people rush on congested roadways, they endanger their lives: accidents have occurred."
Swiggy Care, Swiggy's official customer service handle, also responded to Saha's message, writing, "@Tamal0401 Hello, Tamal. We couldn't help but smile when we saw this. We'd like to express our gratitude to the delivery partner and brighten his day. Please meet us on DM and assist us with the order ID."
