Amid Rain In Bengaluru, Google Maps Shows Walking 8 Km To Take Just A Minute Longer Than Driving

Bengaluru might be India's tech hub, but the city is also famous for its traffic. The long traffic snarls are a constant theme and residents continue to struggle on a daily basis to reach their destinations.

If that wasn't enough of a nightmare already, the incessant rains have compounded the misery for the common citizens. A Twitter user, Sahil Mathew, posted screenshots reflecting the grim situation.

Mathew posted two screenshots from Google Maps showing that if one chose to walk from the distance of 8 kilometres from Mahadevapura to Bellandur, it would take them an hour and 42 minutes. This is where it gets interesting.

You would think that travelling in a car would take you significantly less time, but... Bengaluru. If they travelled the same distance by car, it would take would one hour and 41 minutes. That's just a minute lesser.

It is often said as a joke that a Bengaluru resident spends more time stuck in a traffic jam than in their home or office. Earlier, one man perfectly summed up the situation.

A Twitter user named Shrikant took a sly dig at the city's traffic and we are sure everyone will find it relatable. In his witty post, Shrikant claimed that his friend is planning to sell the third, fourth and fifth gear of his car. You know where this is going, right? The traffic jams, Pushpa. Bengaluru has always witnessed huge volumes of erratic traffic on the roads, and the city, at least in the near future, will continue to remain gridlocked. All we can do is sympathise with the residents of the city.
