After Argentina, Amul Becomes The First Indian Regional Sponsor Of Portugal Football Team
Indian dairy giant Amul has become the first Indian regional sponsor of Cristiano Ronaldo led Portugal National team ahead of FIFA Worldcup. In September, Amul had become the first regional sponsor of Lionel Messi led Argentina football team.
More than a month after becoming the first regional sponsor of the Lionel Messi-led Argentina football team, Indian dairy giant Amul today announced that it has also become the official regional sponsor of the Cristiano Ronaldo-led Portugal national team.
The Portuguese Football Federation and AMUL have signed a regional sponsorship agreement until the end of 2023. Amul thus becomes the first Indian regional sponsor in the history of the Portuguese Football Federation, as per ET.
Amul also made the announcement on their social media handles as well.

The Indian fans and consumers of dairy products in India will now be able to get original products of Amul with the impression of the players of the Portugal national team. This partnership is the expression of the trajectory and international scope of the Portugal Football Federation, and of the importance and recognition of a historic brand, i.e. Amul.
Amul will thus be the ambassador company of the Indian community with the Portugal national team.
Another proud moment and a major step from an Indian brand towards global football came in March 2022, when Edtech BYJU'S became the first ever Indian firm to be named as a sponsor of the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup. Earlier this month, Byju's announced that it had roped in football star Lionel Messi as the first global brand ambassador of its social impact arm 'Education For All'.

Putting forth his views on this mega partnership, Jayen Mehta, Chief Operating Officer of Amul, reportedly said, ¡°Amul is proud to announce its association with the Portugal Football Federation. In September, Amul had also become the first regional Indian sponsor in the history of Argentine soccer.
