Netflix's latest release, Sector 36, starring Vikrant Massey, has once again sparked curiosity among netizens about what actually happened in Nithari village near Noida, the criminal case famous in India by the name of Nithari Kand. In an attempt to give a little bit of clarity to the audiences before they watch Sector 36 on Netflix that is based on this real-life case, here are the four theories that Noida police investigated in the real case back in 2006.?
Nithari kand is remembered as a gruesome crime that involved rape and brutal killings. Among many theories that Noida police investigated in the case is that the servant at Moninder Pandher's residence in the Nithari area of Noida named Surinder Koli might have done the killings. There were speculations that Koli was a serial killer because of which he killed so many people britally.?
According to media reports, the servant would lure kids into the residence, where he allegedly used to rape and murder them.
Last year, the Allahabad High Court acquitted Surinder Koli in over 10 cases leading to the annulment of his death sentence. The acquittal was the result of lack of evidence.
Moninder Singh Padher, who was the owner of the house where all the killings happened, was the prime suspect in the case. Police investigated the speculations that said the owner used to make the servant do all the killings and that the servant did all of it only for money and on the orders of his boss Moninder.?
Pandher was too acquitted of all charges against him. He was too acquitted by the Allahabad High Court due to a lack of convincing evidence other than the confessions.
There were accusations that Moninder used to run an organ trafficking business, and the killings of children were part of his business. Police investigated this angle, but nothing substantial was found, which is in the public domain.?

But later everyone in the country, including police, was shocked when some media reports said that one of the accused had confessed to the consumption of the victims' livers and other body parts. However, such possibilities were not ruled out by the investigating team, considering the amount of brutality that was done by the killers.?
