Pathaan Row: Bajrang Dal Causes Violent Ruckus & Vandalisation At Ahmedabad Mall During Protest

Every day we wake up expecting there wouldn’t be any ruckus around Pathaan but we are proved wrong. The furore around this Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer continues to multiply with stronger rage. From politicians to the public, it’s a fishbone in the throat.

In a shocking turn of events, members of Bajrang dal took to an Ahmedabad Mall to protest against the film.

Gujarat’s Bajrang Dal activists reportedly vandalised a multiplex in Ahemdabad staging a protest against Pathaan. Things turned ugly when the protestors started destroying the cutouts of the film and broke whatnot at the ticket window. In another video, they were seen hurling vulgar abuses against the film’s star cast.

The video was posted by them on Twitter quoting in Hindi, "Today we trashed Pathaan at Karnvati. We won't allow Sanatan religion offender @iamsrk and Tukde gang supporter Deepika Padukone's movie to release here. We went to multiplex and warned them that if they will release Pathaan, Bajrang dal will protest against it.” See the video here:-

Amidst the entire uproar, there has been no change in the film’s title Pathaan and the release date remains unchanged.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the same writing, “#PathaanTrailer on 10 Jan 2023… #Pathaan [NO title change] arrives in *cinemas* on 25 Jan 2023 [#RepublicDay weekend] in #Hindi, #Tamil and #Telugu.” Directed by Sidharth Anand, the film also features John Abraham in a titular role.

On 4th January 2023, SRK also conducted his popular interaction series on Twitter #AskSRK.

During the same, he shut a troll calling Pathaan a disaster and suggesting the actor for a retirement. He wrote him back, “Beta badhon se aise baat nahi karte!! (kid, don’t talk to your elders like this).” SRK also reacted to why actress Alia Bhatt calls him just SR, unlike others who call him SRK.

He wrote, "Could mean sweet and romantic or maybe senior and respected or maybe just Shah Rukh." Reacting to his response, Alia Bhatt revealed what 'SR' stood for, and tweeted, "More like sweet and respected :) But from 25th January I’m going to switch to calling you Pathaan. See I’m so creative na (no?)."

Hearing to that SRK responded saying, "Done little one. And I am now going to call you little Amma (mother) Bhatt Kapoor!." Alia and SRK shared screens in Dear Zindagi and worked on projects like Brahmastra and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. With Pathaan, SRK returns to the big screen in full-length after a hiatus of five years.
