Vin Diesel's former assistant has filed a lawsuit against him alleging she was sexually battered by him in 2010. Hours after the incident, she was fired from her job, she claimed.?
The incident reportedly took place in an Atlanta hotel room during the shooting of Fast Five, claimed Asta Jonasson in the lawsuit filed in a Los Angeles court.?
She said that it was her assignment after she was?hired by the Fast and Furious actor's company One Race. She had to travel to Atlanta in September 2010 for the movie.?
Jonasson alleged that Diesel forcibly groped her breasts and kissed her after he had spent a night entertaining multiple women in his hotel suite. When the situation escalated, she ran to the bathroom where he even forced her to "grab his erect penis". As she yelled for him to stop, he pinned her against a wall and masturbated, and only let her free when he was done. He then left the hotel room.??
"The message was clear. Ms Jonasson was fired for courageously resisting Vin Diesel's sexual assault, Vin Diesel would be protected, and his sexual assault covered up," the lawsuit reads.
In her lawsuit, Jonasson said that she did not disclose this to anyone as she was "afraid to speak out against one of the world¡¯s highest-grossing actors, afraid she would be ostracized from the industry."
"Vin Diesel ignored Ms. Jonasson's clear statements of non-consent to his sexual assaults," the lawsuit reads.
Jonasson's lawyer Claire-Lise Kutlay said in a written statement said, "Sexual harassment in the workplace will never stop if powerful men are protected from accountability. We hope her courageous decision to come forward helps create lasting change and empowers other survivors."?
For the unversed, Jonasson is one of many women to accuse prominent entertainment industry figures of sexual misconduct since the #MeToo movement began in 2017, in the aftermath of accusations against now-imprisoned movie producer Harvey Weinstein.
