Ayodhya Ram Temple: Aligarh Lock Maker To Gift 50 kg Handmade Lock To Shrine

Harrison Locks, a lock manufacturer from Aligarh district of Uttar Pradesh, has prepared a 50-kg handmade lock to be presented to the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

The handmade lock is fully functional and has 'Jai Shree Ram' engraved on it.

Aligarh's gift to Ayodhya Ram Temple

According to Umang Monga, Managing Director of Harrison Locks, the lock was a gift to the Ram Temple on behalf of Aligarh.

"We want to gift this lock on behalf of Aligarh, widely known for its lock industry. This is our way of participating and a gift from our side to the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya," Monga said.

"Aligarh is widely known for the lock industry. The whole world is looking towards Ayodhya. This is an effort to bring Aligarh to the world map," he added.

Unique gifts to Ram Temple

Ahead of the much-awaited consecration on January 22, the Ram temple in Ayodhya has been receiving several unique gifts from devotees.

On Wednesday, a businessman from Jalesar Nagar Panchayat of Etah district handed over a 2400-kilogram bell made of 'ashtadhatu' (eight metals) to the Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust.

It is being claimed that the sound of this bell, crafted in a single casting, can be heard up to 10 kilometres, and its manufacturing cost is approximately Rs 25 lakhs.

Seven more bells, each weighing 51 kilograms, were also presented.

Special perfume from Kannauj

Perfumers of Kannauj have also prepared some special perfumes for Ram Lalla, which will be sent to Ayodhya for the Pran Pratishtha ceremony.

These special types of perfumes and fragrant water will be presented to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, said the Kannauj Attars and Perfumes Association president Pawan Trivedi.

"Perfumers have together prepared some special fragrances for Ram Lalla. After collecting different types of perfumes and fragrant water on a chariot, it will be taken on a tour of the city. After that, the perfumes will be sent to Ayodhya later today," Trivedi said.

Rose water made from roses has been prepared, which will be used to bathe Ram Lalla. After that, the famous perfumes of Kannauj such as 'Atar Mitti', 'Attar Motiya', 'Rooh Gulab', sandalwood oil and henna will be used for creating a fragrant atmosphere around the deity, Trivedi added.

The perfumers of Kannauj have also prepared 'Attar Shamama' for Ram Lalla which helps in protecting from cold. A mixture of herbs has also been used to manufacture this unique perfume, Trivedi said.
