Campaigning for the Lok Sabha Elections can be hectic, with several?meetings and rallies throughout the day.?This?would mean?that they?usually have little to no time for anything else. A candidate in Uttar Pradesh was?apparently?too busy campaigning, that he almost missed out on filing his nomination papers, before the deadline.
A video has gone viral on social media showing Shashank Mani Tripathi, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Uttar Pradesh's Deoria constituency quite literally running to the nomination?centre?to file his papers.
The last day to file nomination papers was on Thursday, and Tripathi reportedly got late to reach the nomination?centre. With time running out, Tripathi had to run to file his nomination, before the end of the deadline.

In videos posted online Tripathi?can be seen sprinting to the file his nomination from the Deoria?seat.
Tripathi is a third-generation member of his family to enter politics and is contesting his first polls in the Lok Sabha Elections 2024.
Shashank¡¯s father, Prakash?Mani?Tripathi, was a Lok Sabha member from Deoria in 1996. He was also an ex-army officer.
His grandfather, Surat Narain?Mani?Tripathi, was an IAS officer and also a member of the Vidhan Parishad.

Deoria, which is a sitting seat of the BJP will vote on 1 June in the seventh and final phase of the Lok Sabah Elections.?
Apart from Tripathi, the main candidates in the fray include Akhilesh Pratap Singh of the Congress Party and Sandesh Yadav, son of former SP MLA Anand Yadav, who is contesting on a BSP ticket.
