We all make mistakes, and some of them can be costly. However, for a man from the US state of Baltimore, a mistake he made in a bar turned out to be pleasantly profitable. He ended up richer by $32,000 (around Rs 27 lakhs) from ticket he purchased by mistake.?The unnamed winner, said to be a retired truck driver, was at a bar with his friends having a drink when he purchased a 10-spot Keno ticket for 10 games.
Keno is a gambling game played with cards (tickets) bearing numbers in squares, usually from 1 to 80. A player marks or circles as many of these numbers as they wish, up to the permitted maximum, then registers their ticket and pays according to how many numbers they selected.

Instead of his usual 10-spot ticket for 10 games, the avid Keno player opted to add a Bonus multiplier, which unexpectedly increased the ticket¡¯s price to $40 (around Rs 3,400). When the bartender informed the man about the ticket's cost and asked if he still wanted to keep it, he decided to go ahead.
According to him, he chose to keep the ticket, adhering to his personal rule of never discarding tickets he considers to be a mistake. ¡°I always keep my mistake tickets,¡± he explained, fearing that discarded numbers might win.
His belief was proven right this time. During the fourth game, the man watched in disbelief as nine out of his ten numbers were drawn. "I said to myself, 'Oh my goodness, I got nine out of 10!'" he recalled.

This fortuitous mistake turned a regular evening at the bar into a life-changing event for the retired truck driver.
