The December 2 episode of Monday Night RAW was supposed to be special for Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, and Big E as it was a celebration of ten years of their team, The New Day. However, the special episode, which also saw the return of Big E, who suffered a devastating injury in March 2022, turned out to be a nightmare for fans who had longed to see the trio together again.
After being together for ten years, The New Day was split on Monday Night RAW, with Kingston and Woods turning on Big E, something that many fans have yet to come to terms with.
Kingston has now broken his silence over The New Day's split and the fan reaction to it.
¡°Everything we said on Monday night was completely factual. We told the truth. You might not like to hear what it was, but people online and on social media are cussing and cursing us, and there are all these insults that have nothing to do with what we¡¯re talking about," Kingston told the Chase & Big Joe Show.
According to Kingston, the trio had agreed to put ¡®we before me,¡¯ and there was no exemption like, ¡®we before me, unless I have a neck injury.¡¯

"Yes, Big E broke his neck, but so what? That doesn¡¯t give him the right to put himself before the group, and people don¡¯t want to hear that, but that¡¯s how we feel,¡± he said.
On his much-anticipated RAW return, Big E had offered to be the manager of Woods and Kingston as he was not yet cleared to wrestle. However, this was immediately turned down by Woods and Kingston, who accused Big E of not being there for them and choosing a desk job and his girlfriend over his old partners.
Woods also suggested that Big E should admit to fans that he would never be cleared to return to the ring again.
