The smallest display on last year¡¯s flagship range of iPhones is currently offered by the iPhone 11 Pro, measuring at 5.85 inches. This might soon be about to change with Apple¡¯s upcoming lineup of iPhones this year.
It has since long been hinted that the iPhone 12 lineup will have four new versions of iPhones. A new source now suggests that the smallest smartphone in this lineup might be called the iPhone 12 Mini.
An anonymous tipster on Twitter by the name @l0vetodream shared the names of the upcoming iPhone models. Along with the regular iPhone 12, an iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max are said to be on their way to the international markets soon. Nothing, however, has been confirmed by Apple as yet.
As for the iPhone 12 Mini mentioned in the tip, it is most likely to be the 5.4-inch variant that Apple was rumored to launch this year. It is expected to be powered by Apple's A14 Bionic chip, along with the latest iOS 14. Whether the flagship features like 5G connectivity and 120Hz high refresh rate display would be available on it or not is yet unknown.

Previously, it was hinted that Apple might name two of the four models as the ¡®Max¡¯ versions of the regular iPhone 12 and the iPhone 12 Pro. While it would have followed the past lineups from Apple, it is, without a doubt, quite confusing.
Naming the smallest offering as ¡®Mini¡¯ solves this problem. It also creates a natural succession in the lineup, starting with the ¡®Mini¡¯ to iPhone 12 and on to iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. Much easier to remember than before.
