We have heard of butter tea but have you ever had butter coffee? No? Sounds really uncomfortable, right?
Well, turns out it is a thing and it is right here in Jama Masjid in Delhi!
If you are a foodie with an adventurous taste palette, you would be interested to know about a street vendor in Delhi's Jama Masjid area who sells butter coffee at his roadside stall.?
Food blogger Amar Sirohi visited the Old Delhi area - Haveli Bakhtawar lane near Jama Masjid and decided to take this experiment of tasting the butter coffee sold there.?
He captured the entire experience and even spoke to the vendor who sells the butter coffee. He shared the video on his Instagram page where he often posts about his food escapades.?
The vendor, Asimuddin has been running his butter coffee/tea stall for the last 20 years now.?
So, how does one actually make butter coffee?
The video shows Asimuddin taking a steel jug and pouring in some milk in it. He then adds a generous amount of Amul salted butter in the milk.?

He adds coffee powder and sugar to the mixture and then take the jug to the coffee machine which stirs up all the ingredients.? ?

Once done, he pours the butter coffee in a mug and tops it off with drinking chocolate powder - Ah, the traditional shaadi wali coffee feel!
Amar Sirohi takes a couple of sips of the butter coffee and says that it has a?salty, caramelized taste.?
¡°It isn¡¯t as bad as I had thought it would be. But it isn¡¯t good as well,¡± he says in the video.?
However, he also mentions that just because he did not like it very much, does not necessarily mean that others won't. There is a reason the vendor has been selling it for two decades now.?
People took to the comments section of the post to share their views on the butter coffee. One user wrote, 'Bulletproof Coffee hai yeh , Kuch log butter k saath Saath Coconut Oil bhi daalte hai,' while another commented, 'BUTTER COFFEE IS NOT A NEW THING ITS VERY OLD AND ITS TASTY.'
