?Fara?or gojha is a beloved street snack from North India, and is extremely popular in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Essentially these juicy bites are stuffed lentil gujiyas or dumplings packed with flavour and punch. Ask any local in Lucknow, and they'll tell you it's farre. Those from Kanpur fondly call the dish bhakosa. Different variations of the dish include those made with rice flour and wheat flour. It's often served with dhaniya chutney that beautifully brings together the many flavours packed in a single bite. But a single bite is never enough. A recent video of this dish being prepared by a street vendor in UP has left the internet drooling. Here's what you need to know.

The now-viral clip opens with a shot of a street vendor taking chana dal, herbs and green chillies, along with water in a mixer grinder and creating a paste. He then rolls dough to create tiny phulka-sized cakes, which he then slathers with the green paste prepared earlier. Once done, he pinches the ends of the tiny cakes together and drops them into a container with boiling water. Once boiled, he retrieves the pieces and chops them further into bite-sized bits that he then fries in a little oil. The final dish is garnished with coriander and served fresh.
