It is unfortunate that even as cases of animal cruelty are becoming increasingly common in our country, no strict laws are being devised to mete out punishment to culprits who treat animals ruthlessly and mercilessly.
Another shocking incident of animal abuse has come forward, this time from Pune. A video of three men?making a dog run at high speed, after tying it?to their scooty, is going viral on Facebook. A post was shared by Facebook user Gaurav Gupta, who mentioned that the incident took place in Wakad, Pune, on the evening of November 5. He mentioned the details in the caption and you can watch the video here.

On the evening of Nov 5, these three guys were dragging an animal from a scooty and were enjoying this. After we stopped them, they started making excuses like the dog bites or it has gone crazy and were threatening us about making video. Although with the help of a lady named Henna, we saved the dog. The dog was shivering and it's legs were swelling.?
But the question is how can someone do this to an animal? Are these guys mentally retarded? Don't they feel any empathy towards animals? How would they feel if someone drags them even for a kilometre.

And this incident happened in Wakad, pune. No one gave a damn about the dog. No one tried to stop them. Have we lost our senses?

It's easy to feel despair when we hear about such acts of hurting animals. But It takes a little courage to come forward and help those who are in need especially animal who can't ask for help or kindness.

In the video, one can see that the three men - none of whom have a helmet on by the way - have tied the poor pooch to their scooty, and are driving at a high speed. The dog, scared for its life has no option but to run to match the speed of the vehicle, otherwise it would have been dragged along and injured fatally.
Gaurav Gupta even shared the vehicle number of the culprits, who should be taken to task, for not just their treatment of the dog, but also for violation of traffic rules. It is high time that acts like these are punished with the severity they deserve. Every life matters.?
