There are many reasons why employees are fired from their jobs. While some are fired for shoddy work, a few are sacked as part of a 'cost-cutting' exercise for the company.
For a few companies, discipline matters more than anything else. Arriving late to work is a deal-breaker for some companies, and a common practice is to deduct salary.?
But have you heard of stories of people being fired for arriving just 20 minutes late?
A person claims that their employer fired someone for showing up late to work for the first time in more than seven years. One of the sacked employees' coworkers reported the incident on Reddit.
The user who uploaded the post on Reddit Antiwork thread said that the employee had been late "for the first time ever" in the more than seven years that he had worked there. The user claims that he was fired for being only 20 minutes late. The location of the occurrence remains unknown.
"Tomorrow, I and all my co-workers will be late and will continue to come in late until they rehire him," the social media update read.?
The whole incident was narrated on Reddit with the caption: ?"Co-worker who has never been late in 7+ years, gets fired for the first time being late¡"
