You may have heard a lot of tales of people who ordered pricey items online only to get soap bars, bricks, or other crazy things in return. A woman recently had a similar incident when she received a bag of onions instead of branded jeans she ordered online.
Sometimes you like an expensive article of clothing and discover it on a website where people also sell their used stuff at a discount. But this buyer was taken aback when she paid for a pair of used Levi's jeans from a vendor on Depop, as The Mirror reported.?
Much to her astonishment, she was given a package filled with tiny onions instead of jeans. The seller, who claimed to have sent the item shown on the website, was also shocked.
When the customer texted the independent seller before filing a formal complaint, the seller assured her they had no idea how the jeans were switched out for the onions in the package.
The customer shared a text with the seller that read., "Hello, before I open a Depop case for this, do you explain why I just received a parcel with onions instead of the jeans I ordered?"?
Responding to this, the seller wrote, "Sorry, I¡¯m really confused; I sent the Levi¡¯s. Did it look open to you?" asked the seller.
Similar circumstances include a Bihar man who reportedly ordered a drone camera from an online store but received a kg of potatoes in its place. Additionally, he produced a video about it that became popular online.?
The delivery agent was shown in the video requesting the man to open the package, and soon after, the agent admitted that the retailer had committed fraud.
