#JNUProtests: Film Industry Lauds Deepika Padukone For Her Courage While #BoycottChhapaak Trends
Boycott Or Respect? People Are Divided After Deepika Padukone's Media-Hyped JNU Visit
Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone on Tuesday joined students protesting against the recent violence on the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) campus. The Bollywood actor was seen standing with students as the demonstrators raised the slogan of "Jai Bhim-Jai Bhim".
She did not issue any statement nor address the students. Deepika is currently in the national capital promoting her upcoming film 'Chhapaak'. Timeline of promotions and her presence at the JNU campus has triggered mixed reactions from fans and people.
While many are lauding her courage for taking such risk even when her first movie as a producer is due, some people are tweeting using #BoycottChhapaak.
Here's the verdict from the social world after Deepika's media-hyped visit to JNU.
Pl observe the hypocrisy of Bollywood:

Bollywood behind Deepika because she is a protege of SRK and FK. Married to a top star.
Same people in Bollywood run a campaign to destroy #KanganaRanaut because she refused to be mentored by anyone.

Given her influence, Deepika¡¯s presence in JNU is a big deal. Be it movie promotion or actual support, the opposition & its ecosystem has used it fully to their advantage & as always, the govt has been found reacting than setting a fact/information based narrative for the public.

More than 30 students were taken to the AIIMS Trauma Centre after a masked mob entered the JNU and attacked the students and professors with sticks and rods.
Several Bollywood celebrities have condemned the violence which took place in JNU on Sunday.
Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap and lyricist Vishal Dadlani joined the protests organized by students at the Gateway of India, Mumbai against the violence in Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) campus on January 5.
While Kashyap said that he was there at the protest site to show his solidarity with the students and blamed the government for the attacks in JNU campus, Dadlani said that he was there in support of a secular India.
