'He is fine now'
The 47-year-old actor was rushed to the hospital where he underwent angioplasty. "Shreyas, 47, was shooting for ¡®Welcome to the Jungle¡¯ and in the evening he suffered a heart attack and underwent angioplasty. He is fine now," an insider told ANI. He is admitted to Belle Vue Hospital in Andheri West, Mumbai.
Welcome To The Jungle is being directed by Ahmed Khan. The teaser of the film wasn't welcomed by fans. The star cast of the film also includes Akshay Kumar, Disha Patani, Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Raveena Tandon, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sanjay Dutt, Rajpal Yadav, Kiku Sharda, Daler Mehndi, Mika Singh, Rahul Dev, Mukesh Tiwari, Sharib Hashmi, Inaamulhaq, Zakir Hussain, and Yashpal Sharma.
Nana Patekar who played the iconic role of Uday Shetty in the previous movie is not returning in the third instalment. While fans were upset about this, Nana revealed himself that he was removed from the project.
The actor will next be seen in the role of Former Prime Minister Of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee from Kangana Ranaut's Emergency - a film based on Indira Gandhi.
Meanwhile, Shreyas Talpade made his debut with sports drama Iqbal in 2005. He started the shooting of the film, a day after his wedding and didn't get to meet his wife for at least a month and a half. Do you know he was even asked to cancel his wedding because Iqbal couldn't be married?
After Iqbal, he did some great films like Dor, in which he played the comic role of a behroopiya, a man with many disguises. The film and his performance were applauded by one and all -- from movie critics to audiences. With movies like Bombay To Bangkok, Welcome to Sajjanpur, Golmaal Returns, Aage Se Right, Golmaal 3, Housefull 2 and Golmaal Again, he got typecast into comedy roles; and so, the opportunities kept getting bleak with time.
