Lucknow-Bound IndiGo Flight Grounded In Mumbai After 'Mentally Unsound' Woman Alerts About Bomb Threat

The incident happened in Mumbai on Saturday morning when the IndiGo flight with 169 passengers on board, was scheduled to depart at 6.05 am.

The woman travelling to Delhi on another flight reportedly approached IndiGo ground staff at Mumbai airport and warned that there could be a bomb on Mumbai-Delhi flight 6E 3612, PTI quoting a spokesperson of the airline reported.
The woman even showed photographs of a few people and claimed that they were a "threat¡± to the nation.

The ground staff then alerted the security staff and a Bomb Threat Assessment Committee was formed. On based on the "specific" threat the aircraft was taken to an isolated bay for a secondary ladder point check, however nothing suspicious was found.

After clearance by security agencies, the flight which was scheduled to depart at 6.05 am took off an hour late.
