Watch: Hailstorm Interrupts Dolce & Gabbana Show In Venice, Unbothered Models Keep Walking
As marble-sized hailstones poured in from the sky, things turned chaotic for A-lister celebrities, while models continued to walk the ramp.
Fashion Mogul Dolce & Gabbana recently hosted their latest fashion show in Arsenale, Venice. The event as predicted was full of glamour with some A-list celebrities and popular socialites.
However, as the models walked down the ramp, celebrities, influencers and designers suddenly started screaming and running for cover. Well, this was not because the show was bad but because the outdoor event was interrupted by a hailstorm.
People present at the fashion show took the moment to take live streams of the ¡°apocalyptical¡± scene and the videos of this went viral.
From Jennifer Lopez, Vin Diesel, Heidi Klum, Helen Mirren to Kris Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Scott, several guests were seen taking refuge by pulling out their umbrellas while others turned their cushion seats into makeshift shields to protect themselves from the massive hailstorm. Many even took off their coats and jackets and made a tent-like structure with them.
But the best part about this fashion show that took place on the brand¡¯s Alta Sartoria runway was that despite the Chevy hailstorm and the chaos among the audience, the models kept going on with the show. They kept their calm and modelled their way through the runway like those marble-sized hailstorms was a regular deal for them.
In fact, the models were completely unbothered and actually enjoyed walking the ramp while the rain poured in. The luxury brand later shared a snippet of the models enjoying the rain.
According to Vogue, the Dolce & Gabbana team moved their show in Venice forward by an hour due to the bad weather. However, it wasn¡¯t of much help. Even the designers, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana walked down the mirrored ramp on the waters holding their hands over their heads for protection making everyone believe that the show must go on.
At the end of the show, people actually cheered and clapped for the designers and their great work making the show a complete success despite the bad weather conditions.
The fashion show had also grabbed attention after Jeniffer Lopez stunned everyone by wearing a floor-length silk turquoise cape over a jewelled bra top, black trousers featuring a metallic floral print and a crown.
