What Luck: Man Orders Rs 300 Skin Lotion, Amazon Sends Rs 19k Ear Buds, Order Is Non-Returnable
A Twitter user shared an epic online order mix-up where instead of the skin lotion Amazon delivered Bose earphones worth Rs 19,000 and told the customer to retain it. The post soon went viral and sparked a debate on Amazon's epic delivery fails and the real meaning behind the 'non-refundable' aspect of certain deliveries.
Luck favours some in the strangest way possible and this Twitter user can vouch after his bizarre experience with Amazon.
We've all heard of cases when people received stones instead of an expensive phone in an online order, In this new case, the customer got more than what he wanted.
A Twitter user recently took to the microblogging platform to relate a bizarre online shopping experience. Gautam Rege, co-founder and director of Josh Software, said that he ordered a skin lotion through Amazon for Rs 300, but received Bose headphones worth nearly Rs 19,000 instead.

Mr Rege's claim that when he contacted Amazon customer care to return the package, he was told to keep the premium headphones as the item is "non-returnable".
His tweet soon went viral and sparked a conversation of Amazon delivery fails. One user shared an incident where he a monitor worth Rs 13,000, but in its place received bottles of Colin.

Others just couldn't get enough of Gautam Rege luck and also felt sorry for the person who actually ordered for the earphones in the first place.
"Is the skin lotion still in stock? Please send link," wrote one Twitter user in response to his post. "Hey, I got a skin lotion instead of my Bose earbuds. Let's exchange," another quipped.

Because cost of returning the item (logistics) is on them, cost of items is on the merchant.
Additionally merchant will be charged penalty for having problems with the order. @amazonIN will always make profit.
Some also pointed out the reason behind the Amazon's 'non-refundable strategy' saying the loss would be borne by the merchant selling the product on Amazon, and not the e-commerce platform itself.
