Salman Khan, who was supposed to make an appearance at the Jodhpur court on Jan 16, was exempted yet again in the blackbuck poaching case.?This is the 17th time that Khan skipped hearing in the case since it came before the sessions court in April 2018. Now the court has asked him to appear before it on Feb 16.?
This hearing was in connection to a petition that challenge the trial court order that sentenced him to five years imprisonment.
The application was accepted by sessions Judge Devendra Kachhawaha who directed him to appear on Feb 6.
A trial court in 2018 had convicted Khan giving him five-year imprisonment for killing two blackbucks in Kankani village near Jodhpur during the shooting of his film Hum Saath Saath Hain in October 1998. Khan had challenged the trial court verdict in the sessions court.?
Khan's fellow actors Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Neelam and Sonali Bendre, who were present on the spot in Kankani along with Khan, were acquitted. After his conviction, Khan spent three days in Jodhpur jail before he got bail. Khan has appealed against the trial court order in the sessions court.
