What is IVF?

IVF is actually one of the most popular and widely known forms of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) that helps infertile couples or individuals with fertilization, embryo development, and implantation so that they can get pregnant.
IVF procedure entails using a combination of medicines to induce numerous eggs, mature and ready for fertilization, from a woman's ovaries, followed by their fertilization with sperm in a controlled setting. The final step involves putting the resultant fertilized eggs or embryos inside the uterus.

1) Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani
Nita and Mukesh Ambani welcomed their children Isha and Akash Ambani through IVF treatment after she was having trouble conceiving. In an interview, Nita shared how a doctor told her that she would never be able to give birth at the age of 23. It was then the couple chose the IVF route to welcome their twins.
2) Farah Khan and Shirish Kunder
In 2008, Farah Khan and her husband Shirish Kunder embraced IVF technology to expand their family and became the proud parents of their triplets. Nearly 11 years after getting married, Gurmeet and Debina welcomed their first daughter Lianna through IVF in 2022. Sharing her pregnancy journey with fans through social media posts, Debinna shared how she initially started with Intrauterine insemination (IUI) and when that did not work the duo chose to go for IVF. Elaborating on her choice during an interview, Debinna stated,"When people ask ¡®Why IVF transfer¡¯, I would say when something doesn¡¯t happen over a period of time, I can¡¯t waste time thinking why it is not happening. Rather I tried and after 5 years I was blessed with Lianna.¡±
