Remember Nityananda, the meme-fame self-styled godman who is a wanted criminal in India, but fled the country and set up his own independent country?
Well, he is back in the news again, and as always it is for some nonsense.
It has now emerged that Kailasa, his supposed country has banned the entry of Indians there due to the ongoing pandemic situation.
The executive order was issued on Tuesday and it said that not just Indians but also travellers from Brazil, European Union and Malaysia who were banned from entering the island due to the second and third wave of COVID-19 there.
The executive order also said that "All Kailasians, Ekailasians, volunteers associated with these de facto embassies of Kailasa are to quarantine themselves and adhere to the precautionary measures advised by the local laws."
Nithyananda, who is a wanted criminal in India on several charges including sexual assault had fled the country in 2019 to evade arrest.
Even while the investigative agencies were trying to find him, Nithyananda, reemerged online with an absurd claim that he has set up an independent country called Kailasa.
More absurdity followed in the coming days including his own Reserve Bank, Currency and government of Kailasa.
Though the exact location of his country is yet unknown, it is believed to be some island located off the coast of Ecuador, which he supposedly bought.
Last year he had also announced flights for people to visit Kailasa, which according to its official website is the world's greatest Hindu nation.
