Tesla Bot still has a long way to go! In a new video, Tesla showed off its Tesla Bots now slowly walking forward without stumbling. In a new video, Tesla's humanoid robots may be seen walking together with chassis installed. In addition, they're also seen performing mundane tasks like picking up stuff.
While this looks great, the Tesla Bot still needs a series of improvements to match the likes of things robots made by competitors like Boston Dynamics are doing. The Tesla Bot was revealed last year at the company's AI Day event, and since then, the robots have remained a matter of interest.
Elon Musk claimed that the new video was put together by the Tesla team just the night before, which shows a lot of improvements from last year. At that time, the Tesla Bot could barely walk forward.
Some of the updates to the Tesla Bot include motor torque control, environment discovery and memorisation, along with AI training for human-tracked movements, and manipulating objects.

In the clip, you can also see one Tesla Bot picking up objects from one container and putting it into another. This was made possible by training the robot's AI via a human demonstration, as shown in the video.
While it's good to see that Tesla Bot is slowly but surely evolving, it appears that in classic Tesla style, it could take a longer time that the envisioned timeline. The company will begin production of the Tesla Bot sometime after the company delivers its first long-awaited Cybertrucks.
