Unfortunately, animal cruelty is a recurring theme these days and a recent video which has surfaced on social media proves that human beings are not humane at all.
The latest in these evil acts comes from Gujarat, where a man was seen chasing a Asiatic lion with his car. A video of the incident has now gone viral, forcing the forest department to launch an investigation.?
The incident reportedly took place in Fachariya village of?Amreli¡¯s Jafrabad taluka, The Times of India reported.?
In the video, the man is seen chasing, harassing a lion in a revenue (non-protected) area. The helpless lion can be seen running as fast as it could and it looked visibly shaken. The lion first tries to find a safe corner but wanders away into the street.?The man appears to intentionally?take the car wherever the wild cat was running.
The car kept following the animal and focused the headlight on it.??
"We have launched a probe and an FIR will be lodged under the?Wildlife Protection Act?after collecting primary evidence,"?Jayen Patel, deputy conservator of forest,?Shetrunji?division, told TOI.?
Amreli district alone is home to nearly 100 lions and most of them are seen sauntering in villages and on the roads.
Last year,?a Delhi-based Youtuber?who runs a channel called "GauravZone," uploaded a video with his pet dog, Dollar.?Gaurav along with his mother tried to make his pet fly by attaching several helium balloons on his back. He made two attempts to make him fly.? ?
However, the second time, he tied the balloons to Dollar's back then took him and stood on top of a car. He then lifted him up and left him fly attached to the helium balloons. The dog visibly seemed quite scared.? ?
Gaurav, however, deleted the video after receiving flak.?
He later made another video on his YouTube channel where he shared why he deleted the previous video and asked for an apology if he hurt anyone's sentiments.? ?
