A guy from Bihar who had married six different women in four states was caught cheating on his wife at the Jamui train station by one of his brothers-in-law after being seen with another woman.
As he was being escorted to the police station, he revealed to the cops that his name was Chhotu and that he had six wives spread over four states.
He said he had two children with the lady he had left about a year and a half earlier, in addition to the four children he had with his first wife.
Chhotu Kumar is originally from the village of Javatari, which is located under the jurisdiction of the Barhat police station. When one of his wives, Manju's brother Vikas, arrived at Jamui station on Monday evening to go to Kolkata, he spotted Chhotu with some other woman and informed his family about this.
Chhotu's family disapproved of this relationship.
As per a report in India Today, Kobia Devi, Chhotu's mother-in-law, and the mother of his wife, Manju, informed the police that their daughter, Manju, married Chhotu in 2018 and that the couple now has two children.
Chhotu had left home about a year and a half before, saying he was going to get medicine, but he never returned.
Vikas said, "Here, my sister has been waiting for so long, but he was calling that woman his wife."
Kobiya Devi added, "Chhotu has cheated on us. He is also married to Kalavati Devi, a resident of Ranchi, and both have four children."
According to the police, Chhotu sang there as a Deoghar's Maa Sharda Orchestra.
He had children with wives from Chinawaria, Sunderkand, Ranchi, Sangrampur, Delhi, and Deoghar. In total, he had children from seven different families.
According to the police, the people who filed the complaint are his second wife's family members. In this particular case, there has not been a single complaint filed so far. The police will investigate the situation if a complaint is made.
Vikas said that wherever he traveled to perform, he married local women to entertain them with his singing. His standard procedure was to divorce one woman and elope before dating another.
