Ahead of their performance tonight, the band's official page on X shared a lighthearted post, referring once again to Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah: "I think even Jasprit might struggle to bowl with this badly drawn ball, but at least it is almost Spherical. It is such a pleasure to be here at this amazing stadium and to play in Ahmedabad for the very first time."

This isn't the bad's first reference to Bumrah. Earlier, during their Mumbai concert on January 21, Chris Martin paused mid-performance to read a humorous letter, which he jokingly claimed was from "Jasprit Bumrah's lawyers."
Reading it aloud, he had said, "Dear Coldplay, in your first and second show, you mentioned Jasprit Bumrah without permission. It's illegal¡ªyou can't mention Jasprit. Who do you think you are, you stupid Englishman? It also says, Mr. Jasprit Bumrah is the greatest bowler in the whole wide world, and you are just a silly singer."
